Happy Anniversary!

We celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary on Sunday, June 20! Three years already, it's hard to believe. To celebrate, we went out to dinner, then did a little gambling at a local casino. I (Jodi) won nearly $100 on a penny slot machine!! We had a really good time.

A new friend I've made here, Barb, has a daughter, Lauren, who is a freshman in high school. Whenever we've gotten together, Rhiannon makes a beeline for Lauren, so I asked her to babysit for us Saturday night. She said Rhiannon did really well, and she's never seen a kid go to bed so easily before!

Here is an email that Barb sent me after Lauren filled her in on the evening:
"She LOVED babysitting for Rhiannon. She couldn't get over how good she was. Told me it was the BEST babysitting job she has EVER had."

It brings a tear to my eye, I'm so proud of our little angel. :)

I French-braided Rhiannon's hair for the first time! (not easy to do on a wiggly toddler!) It's just too much fun having a little girl. :)

In other news...

Rhiannon opened the front door for the first time yesterday. Dave heard the alarm beep as the door opened, so he went to check it out. Baloo was already out the door, and Rhiannon was close behind. Something else to worry about now!

Also, she is now big enough to climb onto our king-size bed all by herself! She is growing up way too fast.
